The Buddy Fund was created especially to help responsible pet owners who might not be able to afford certain types of pet care due to unfortunate circumstances (the loss of a job, unexpected expenses unrelated to their beloved pet, or on a strict budget as is the case of many seniors. Buddy was an adorable silver schnauzer born on the 21st of December, 1996. He was known by many as the official greeter of The Herb House, where his Guardian worked. He never met anyone he didn’t like (unless that individual was under 5 feet tall and wearing a uniform- our apologies to the postman). Within the last few years he was diagnosed with diabetes and then later Cushing’s disease. Because he wasn’t particularly fond of his Mom giving him his shots (and even left the scars to prove it) he went to Northgate Pet Clinic every morning for the required dose. Just as September began Buddy crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. His lively, affable spirit is remembered in fond memories of those who knew and loved him. The fund set up in his memory was established in part to remember the beloved schnauzer and to help those who care about their pets but believe sometimes that they cannot afford healthcare. The Buddy Pet Memorial Fund is about the bond between owner and pet. If you would like to donate to the fund feel free to come into the clinic or call for more information, please make checks or money orders out to Northgate Pet Clinic and place “Buddy’s Fund” in the memo line.
